Communication is a special process by which we exchange opinions and emotions with other people in the form of ideas,facts, and meanings. The word communication is derived from the Latin words communis and communicare which means common &to share respectively.
Human communication is very complex in nature than that of others. To excel in life one should master the communication skills.
They are LSRW( listening, speaking, reading and writing).Regarding communication, Cross-culture communication is very essential now a days.
Characteristics
There are a lot of characterstics to communication. Eight of them are listed below.

b)It includes transfer of ideas, emotions and facts
c) communication involve understanding (the meaning is properly conveyed)
d) Communication is intentional or unintentional

A good communication should have some essential qualities such as Clarity, completeness, conciseness, consideration, correctness, attentiveness, correct use of body language, objectivity, grapevine effectivity, and feedback.

There are mainly seven types of communication.

Inter-personal and intra-personal communication,

Public communication.
Process of communication
Communication has many basic elements in it's process. They are sender, message,receiver, encoding, transmission, decoding, and feedback of communication.
Barriers of communication
Communication has many barriers like poor expression of communication, faulty transmission of ideas and emotions, indifference and lack of interest in communication, noises among communication, physical factors like deformities and lacks, and people related factors like cultural, religious and regional differences.
